Protest the Hero is a tricky band to pin down. They seem like a band you can party with, but at the same time, their musical talents should be reserved exclusively for those who sacrifice a social life to be able to hone their craft. It almost seems too easy for these fun-loving dudes; they love creating music that requires multiple listens to fully get your head around. Djent. Some people love it, suggesting that it's the future of metal, and others absolutely loathe it, believing it's just a trend that will die out in the near future. If I was to fall on one side of the fence, I would go with those who favor the new movement, but I would be much nearer to the fence compared to many of my peers. I am not completely for it, because I think there is a little too much saturation and not enough true pioneers of the movement. It seems like everyone's copying everyone else.
