First Blood comes out with all guns blazing with their newest release Silence Is Betrayal. From start to finish it throws hardcore as what we know it back in our faces and brings us back to reality. Stocked full of political messages and standing for what you believe in, it's a calling card for a youth revolution. It seems that every hardcore release this year has gone back to the passion that was once prevalent in hardcore.
Now I really do love Silence Is Betrayal, it's a wake up call for everyone that enjoys hardcore and the message that it portrays. Granted there is not much different music... (read more)

Most deathcore bands (and modern death metal bands for that matter) focus on being the fastest, or the heaviest, or the most sinister band that they can be, but that doesn't always result in a very listenable experience. It all starts to bleed together. In fact, rather than a full LP, I feel that EPs are the most effective way of going about releasing most metal, because the music can be so abrasive that by track five or six track, you lose interest. A listener can only take so many blastbeats and breakdowns.

Which do you think got the better phase, the Colors CD or the DVD?
I think the cd did. I feel it was a big step for us and it really let everyone know that we are ready to take our music to the next level.
