CARNIFEX are a band who has seemed to grow very fast in popularity.  More than likely, you've heard of these guys, but if for some reason you haven't, if you're a fan of The Black Dahlia Murder and Suicide Silence, you should have no problem getting into this band.  Their latest release, Until I Feel Nothing, has its ups and downs, but I do think the band is starting to walk in the right direction.   Here's Victory Records' version of Sumeriancore.  WITHIN THE RUINS is a technical death metal juggernaut with hints of progressive metal hailing from North Carolina, and their latest Victory Records release, Invade, does show improvement in the band.  Their debut Creature was fairly solid (which they toured the fuck outta that release, these guys are DIY beasts!), and fans of the old should have no problem getting into the new material, because they literally almost sound the same, even within the complexity.  There are some parts on Invade in my eyes that stick out above others, so here they are. “Versus” shows the band in their...
